Gosh am I developing a dislike to direct debits, being taken out on random days, automated systems that randomly think it's OK to just dip in. It's really stressing me out. Anyways, I just cancel them again and call the company. But really! Once all falls into place I'm sure it will be fine.
Wednesday was lovely passed theory test for my UK license and hence did not save £23 - very happy.
Met friend in village half way between us, got soda from t*** and sat on a bench in museum garden in the sun and had a serious natter for an hour and went on our ways. Lovely and very needed.
Splurged massively on ingredients to make a tagine, but it was a lovely dish and I now have the spice to make more.
Can't face buying easter eggs this year,feel a bit guilty, but it will save money and wrapping/waste so there you have it.
What little things have I done:
Too many - that all only cost a little bit.
What will I do tomorrow - restorative things like water, wash car, cook, quiet things, that does not involve driving.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Very busy day ahead. As many of you will know, I volunteer one day a week with a well-known heritage charity. Easter is our busiest time of the year - 10% of our annual visitors come during just these 4 days!! So - all hands on deck. I may not be earning money, but I get to spend the whole day in a wonderful historic house, talking to lovely interesting and interested people. I have my lunch packed - we get 20% off in the tea room, but a) it's still cheaper to take sandwiches, b) the tea room will be packed and c) lunch? Seriously?? The day was as busy as expected. Feet aching, but it's such a lovely evening I want to go for a walk. I think they're just going to have to man up!!
For tea tonight I'm having a takeaway - I have a takeaway every 4 weeks, on a Friday night. And tonight's the night. Because takeaway portions are so huge, I eat half and freeze half - tonight I'll be having the frozen half (I don't freeze and re-heat rice, it's not worth the risk). I'll also be having a drink - I invested 37p on some Indian Tonic Water from Aldi, so tonight it will be a gin and tonic (gin from stores). Curry eaten. Very tempted to sit in the garden with my G&T - but also wanting to go for a walk. Decisions, decisions.
I've had an enquiry about my spare room (well, spare floor!), but I don't think it's genuine. I searched facebook for the name of the person who enquired, and there's a woman locally who runs a property management company, and I think it's her. She wants to 'meet, to discuss' but when I suggested going for a coffee on Easter Monday morning she didn't know if she was going to be away. Really? Who doesn't know the day before Good Friday if they're going to be away on Easter Monday?? So, I'm expecting nothing from this, but hoping that it's just a coincidence with the names and she is in fact a genuine if slightly disorganised potential lodger!! We'll see.
Did I mention that I'd bought myself an Easter egg? I don't think I did - I mentioned that I'd bought one for Mum, but I also bought one for me. I live alone (thanks for that, OH), my kids and step-kids all live a fair distance away, my parents are bit, well, let's just say 'old' - so I'm going to be on my own for most 'family' celebrations. And I'm not going to sit on the sofa and feel sorry for myself. I bought myself a bunch of flowers for Valentine's day, I've bought myself an egg for Easter, and I'm starting to think about what to give myself for my birthday. Because I'm worth it.
Decided to go for a walk. Nothing to stop me having the G&T later. And after a day of basically just standing, my legs needed to get moving. After making small talk with the best part of 750 people and their darling, well-behaved, quiet, clean-handed children, I enjoyed the peace and quiet Very Much Indeed. I've also wrapped my parents' 62nd wedding anniversary present (well, found a pre-loved gift bag that fitted and didn't look too Christmassy), so all set for tomorrow.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

GOOD FOR YOU!! I have 2 x DDs who still live with me but DD1 has a serious boyfriend so not here that much and DD2 is at uni and also has a serious boyfriend who lives 100 miles away - so I spend a lot of time alone. I know it's not the same as actually living alone but that day will come.... I also really like your plan to spend £10 per person per occasion.
Sorry to hear your update disappeared foxgloves - how annoying.
I've been working loads so not much spending as no time. Bought petrol yesterday and DD1 did a small shop in Mr T and made tea for me which was very nice. I had a free lunch on Weds and yesterday; just have to be careful I don't make a pig of myself cos it's free! I've been trying not to eat too much bread but eaten a lot of bread this week. Not spent much on Easter and 'did' Easter last Sunday with DDs as DD2 now back at uni. I haven't bought Easter goodies for family as they live miles away and I won't see them over Easter; just need to buy a small choc gift for DD1 boyfriend then that's my easter spending done. Need to check surveys as not been near them recently other than 1 YouGov done.
Hope everyone is ok

Morning all

Nice day again, so am getting washing out on the line to dry
HG fruit with breakfast
Claimed a £5 Amazon gift card from a survey site
Stripped spare bed and baby's cot, tidied and dusted spare room
Cleaned both bathrooms and washed floors
A nice crochet blanket (sadly not crocheted by me, a charity shop find) on the line atm and bedding from spare bed currently in WM.
Folded yesterday's washing and put ready to put away (no ironing thankfully :j)
Cleaned sink area in kitchen and tracked down the box of washing powder I knew I had somewhere! Put grotty sink tidy thing in the DW
Took some items down to camper van and put away in cupboard
Now sat down with coffee and a hot cross bun, a bought one
Comtemplating making some more in the BM.....
Also contemplating doing my business accounts
And some gardening :j
Wonder which one will win :rotfl:
BBQ later, that we didn't do last night, have all stuff in / prepped
No spending planned - avoiding going out as I don't fancy spending a nice day caught up in traffic, or in a packed supermarket / town centre :eek:
Neighbour and her noisy dogs are away, so going to make the most of the nice weather, peace and quiet at home

Morning all :hello: we're back from hols and had a fab week away. We kept the :money: faith and all was good on the spent front. We're packing a picnic today and going out to use a membership so another free day out. I'm sure it'll be busy in this weather though.
Hope you're all ok and had a good week. Hope you've all got fab weather.
A few other things to do too:
Check just for points cc
Check banking
Put case back up in loft
Make picnic
Swap a reusable tablecloth over. Bought a cheap one for a change a few months ago but it's had it but will put the one on I had before to change the room about
Dig out the sun cream
Finish some cabinets if we're back at a decent time.
Have a good day all. Purps.0 -

Currently on my third coffee (:o)
fabric in machine ready to go on line
done
Today:
* nice long walk along sea front with pup and probably a pint at some point. Will make a big pancake breakfast for madam and take snacks
* cut out fabric - still haven't made the cardigan!
* tidy up - relatively tidy so not too onerous!
* another load to go in when current finished and hang on line
* clean out bag and go through receipts
* pay cc
* all meals from stores
* might batch make a soup for lunches next week. Will need to see what I've got in/fancy....
* contact a customer about repairing a zip to arrange handing over :T A colleague at work has passed on details of someone wanting a suit taking in :T
* update CV
* prime cupboards/shelves - again still outstanding!
* go collect something from argos (paid for by dd for madam) and go get chocolate for easter - might be very frugal and just get a few bars for madam. She'll get eggs off of other people!
Ok that's me. Hope you all have a good day xDF as at 30/12/16
