Not necessarily

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Whichever boiler you go for, make sure your installer is proficient in installing it. A bad installation of a great boiler will give you far more problems than a good installation of an average boiler.
I'd also choose one with a long warranty - as they all seem to be offering in excess of 5 or 7 years now.0 -

Good idea, but if, say, the plastic sump on an Ideal Logic develops a hairline crack just above, and slightly to the right, of the removable cover then there's nothing the installer could have done to have prevented it. Check for instances of it online and there will be loads of them over the years - a well known fault.
What worries me is the possibility (likelihood??) that a manufacturer finds a reason to wriggle out of their warranty responsibility. Again a check online suggests that it's not unknown - with some, apparently, worse than others.0 -
I have since had a Vailant combi boiler fitted and I am very happy both with the boiler and the workmanship.
I used a local plumber and for all the work it was a little over 3k.SPC 0370
