Boiler upgrade

Options
I am about to get some quotes for a new boiler, I currently have a back boiler behind a fire place and want the new boiler located in a different part of the house (possibly a spare bedroom) so it is going to be a fairly big job.
Before I go ahead with anything are there any make of boilers I should avoid and any I should steer towards reliability wise?

Budget in mind and all that. My list:

    ATAG
    Valiant
    Viessmann
    Intergas
    Grant
    Budget constraints, Ideal

    Are Ideal a higher price?
    What about Worcester Bosch?

Ideal tend to be a few hundred quid cheaper, and they have improved their game. Some will come along and say they are inferior.

Worcester Bosch have a good reputation as well, but gone a bit plastic on some of their parts.

Alot will also depend on the quality of the install, powerflush, inhibitor, pipe work, boiler fit for property and usage etc.

So these would be you go to?
    ATAG
    Valiant
    Viessmann
    Intergas
    Grant

I don't want to cut corners just to save a few quid, this will be the 1st major thing I have done in my house so want something reliable that will last.

Get a qualified and gas safe heating engineer for some quotes and see what boilers they recommend. They should ask you appropriate questions for your hot water usage and spec the right boiler for you. Depends on number of bathrooms/shower rooms, occupants. number of radiators and insulation levels of current property. (such as double glazing, cavity, roof) For instance of you have the possibility of more than one person bathing/showering at the same time you may be better of with a system boiler setup with a cylinder. If you want something alongs the lines of Worcester Bosch than a Valiant boiler is a safe bet.

No ideal are just not very good.

    Intergas would be my choice

So I have had a couple of quotes through and are for the following boilers.
Ideal Logic +30 7 year warranty
Worcester Bosch Greenstar 25i 5 year warranty
The difference between the 2 quotes is £375 and both for exactly the same amount of work, I know Worcester have a better reputation but thoughts anyone??

You ask which boilers you should avoid and any that you should steer towards for reliability, yet ignore all the advice that you have been given and are now trying to choose between two second rate boilers!

If you really want a reliable, quality, quiet boiler that will last, then please read the following before wasting your money:

Intergas are a Dutch company, they dominate their areas the same way Worcester Bosch do here. The difference is they deserve their reputation.

Over here they are a hard sell because no one really knows their name. The customers that take my advice have never looked back, so far in 4 years I have never been back to one except for the annual service.

You were told to dismiss Ideal and yet it's on your list out of two, Why? If you want to save money then save some more and just buy a Vokera.
