Best Credit Cards for Spending a lot quickly

I'm getting married in a few months with my honeymoon to follow straight after. As a result I'll be spending a lot of money in a very short space of time. What's the best credit card from a rewards perspective to maximise what I get back from this spending?

Amex have the best rewards available - I went for straight cashback, but you can do even better if you can use the non-monetary rewards.

Bear in mind that, depending on your definition of 'a lot of money', you may not be offered a credit limit anywhere near this....

Valid point, but if the OP is only after maximising any spending rewards and does not need the credit facilities there is no reason why they couldn't just keep paying down the card each time the spending limit is approached and still put a lot of payments through the card to earn the rewards.
    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

I think I'd be aiming more for something with an offer of several months at 0% interest on spending, rather than any rewards value.

Even if there's enough cashflow to pay it all back straightaway, it can earn a few quid staying in savings accounts a bit longer.

Let me throw in a travel credit card as idea, might come handy if the honeymoon is overseas. Avoiding these pesky 2-3% would outweigh by far reward any earning rates of reward cards.
