Is that the link your sony mobile to p.c.
If so I use Companion app to link xa2 with laptop which enables test messaging via laptop.

tried the above not able to get any further than the logo as not wish to lose the contact on the phone as all on the what app

To be honest if you manage to get the phone working again it is highly likely all data on it will be wiped. You have to be ready for that to happen. Are your contacts not synced with a Google account? Did you have backups enabled in WhatsApp?0

Try removing the SIM card then the reset which I had mentioned.

This is a few years ago though could help if you have a p.c. Or laptop.
To perform a system repair
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XPReplenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge.
