There are 73 Virgin money stores around the country. If there isn't one nearby then that's a shame, particularly if you could do it in passing if you were near one for any reason

Just to finish this thread off.
I received a phone call from Tanya Bruce the chief operating officer of credit control who apologised profusely for the email I received and immediately issued me with a card with a £15k limit.
Such a shame I had to jump through hoops .....After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Had a similar experience recently. I've had the Reward+ card for the past year with my wife as an additional cardholder. I didn't want to pay a 2nd annual fee without getting bonus miles so cancelled it and tried applying for the regular / no fee Reward card but was declined as have had a card with them in the last 6 months (they used to allow you to have both at the same time). Took them about a week to email me and tell me that after application (in hindsight should have done the pre-approval check but in all honesty did not see the option.
So then got my wife to apply for a Reward+, she did the pre approval and it said no issues. Went through the application and then got the "we are reviewing your request and will email you". Email came a week later and says they wont be approving the application. Then goes on to say I'm sure you want to know why so please check with every Credit rating company but oh by they way even if thats all good we still have the final say. If your not happy with that then write to us and we will review it but it will take 1 month oh and send all your details so we can find your application???
I've no issue they rejected her but just wish it was transparent as to why so you can question it or at least learn from it.0 -

Lending criteria is commercially sensitive and not a matter of public information.
You’ll never find out the reason why.
However, assuming you’re referring to the Virgin Atlantic cards, it does clearly state in the eligibility criteria that you mustn’t have had a card within 6 months of applying again.0
