MOT/TAX expired - No logbook
I'm in a right old mess. Log book is registered at an old address and I have lost the document with the number on it, so I have to apply by post for a new one. According to the GOV site, my MOT expired in July last year (I don't know how I missed it). And now the tax expired on the 1st of this month.
What on earth do I do? V11 reminders will have been going to my old address and I've been none the wiser.

What do you do?
Three things.
1. V62 and £25 for a new V5C, and take the car for an MOT ready to be able to tax it. Meanwhile, park it off the road.
2. Make a mental note to be less lackadaisical with important paperwork in future. Then go to https://www.gov.uk/mot-reminder
3. Cross your fingers.0 -
Am I likely to get a fine by the DVLA for not changing my address/driving an untaxed car for 2 weeks? Not to mention driving it for 9 months wihtout MOT0

For not changing the address? No.
For driving without MOT? No.
For having it untaxed and unSORNed? Possibly, but unlikely if you get your skates on. You need to MOT it, then you can tax it with the V62. Sooner you can do that, the less likely you are to be penalised. If it rolls into next month, it's likely.0 -
Ok thanks so much, I'm on it.0
