Car Insurance question

I have one car which is insured with Tesco bank.

I have since bought another car and I need to insure both.

Tesco don't do multi car insurance.

I'm wondering what my best option is?

Whether to get the second car insured and have two policies or whether to use multi car, if so who do it?

I plan on selling my first car in the next month so I'll be down to one car (my new one)

I might do that as so far Admiral quoted me £1000 for a multi car deal. Having said that my focus is only £30 in tax per year (paid in full already) and the insurance has also been paid in full last December so it's only costing me petrol each day to run.

I've paid annually in one hit with Tesco bank for my focus and can get my new car insured for £30 per month

Don't assume that a multi-car policy is cheaper. There's nothing to stop you simply insuring both cars separately. But don't try to claim the no-claims discount on both unless you find an insurer that allows you to to that.


If you intend to keep both cars, you may have to build up the NCD on each independently.
