Paid twice for car insurance

Hi all, this is my first post so bear with me if any mistakes made.
First of all, I moved house five months ago which is connected to this story!
My car insurance company charged me twice, as one was on auto renewal. They'd sent me reminder and a new quote, which was considerably more than I paid the previous year. I went online and saw a cheaper quote, with them, so went with that. They then sent me an email informing me of my new policy.
But they auto renewed my car insurance from last year and sent a letter to my old address with details of the new policy. I didn't get the letter until last week as my old landlords phoned to say I had post there.
I had set up a three month redirection, and had updated everything online to my new address, so my new details would have been on my insurance policy when I moved so my insurance wouldn't be invalidated.
As soon as I got the letter, I called my insurance company, who said they would refund the full amount as it was a genuine error, but they also told me that the error happened because I'd moved house and two addresses on insurance for a single vehicle is not flagged up on their system. But I had updated my details online when I moved.
So the upshot is, I received a letter from them today to say I was getting a refund, but it's not the full amount. They have kept £87.36 to cover the six week period my car was mistakenly insured at my old address. Can I get the full amount back?
Thanks in advance
P.S. The reminder came by post t my new address.

Whenever you are not happy with your insurance company the route to go down is a complaint in line with their complaints procedure
Then if you are not happy with the reply or they ignore you for 8 weeks you can escalate to the FOS for their adjudication at no cost to you0 -
I find it odd that thier system allowed 2 policies to be created for the same car registration number , I would use this point in reasoning for a full refund . Good luck0
