Except it's too late for the buyer as they no longer require it.0 -
I believe if you upload label // reference number in reply to the case the eBay will actully rule it out in your favour. This was my experience a couple of years back (as a buyer).
Briefly, I bought something which was needed for a special occasion and the delivery was supposed to be UPS 1 day. It hasn't shown up 5 days later so I contacted the seller. The seller rushed to her local UPS store and informed me that the store manager has forgotten about the parcel and it has been sitting there for a about week without any move. Of course, the seller insisted on item being sent, whilst I just wanted a refund. eBay closed INR case in favour of the seller as it was a courier issue and not the seller's problem.
The item showed up dutifully a couple of days later when it was of no use to me.0 -
ebay's delivery estimates are not contractual and you're at the whim of the postal service as to when they do materialise.
When I sell things, I generally can't post before the weekend anyway, so if something sells there could be up to 7 days before I post it anyway.0 -

e.
As per responses earlier on this thread the rules to defend an INR have changed and any tracking or delivery confirmation needs to be uploaded prior to the first delivery estimate.
Also, again as per the earlier posts, the delivery confirmation on this particular item was showing as not delivered, so OP could not win the INR even if the number had been uploaded.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. This sounds like an invitation to scam. If the seller hasn't provided a tracking number, open an INR case and get the item for free. It seems to create a awful lot of totally unnecessary work for the eBay support team. As the sellers can't be responsible for couriers it now seems eBay shutl is the only way to go. But their prices are high, so extra cost to buyer, causing another series of complaints from buyers regarding the delivery cost. :think:As per responses earlier on this thread the rules to defend an INR have changed and any tracking or delivery confirmation needs to be uploaded prior to the first delivery estimate.

I don't know why you think Shutl is the only way to go all that does is add the tracking or delivery confirmation at point of sale, a seller can easily do that themselves. Even my RM business account is linked to eBay and automatically updates when I buy labels. Also Shutl prices are flexible and tend to be slightly lower than going direct, at the moment for instance their Royal Mail prices actually beat the price RM offer at the post office.
The ability to scam has always been there, so again I don't see why this makes any difference. As it stands large letters for instance whether sent using Shutl or over the counter Royal Mail have nomtracking numbers, so nothing at all has changed there. In fact things have got better in the past couple of years, in the past Royal Mail had no identifying information unless you paid for signed for or special, the fact that standard parcels now have delivery confirmation means an extra bit of peace of mind for sellers.
The only thing that has changed re INR claims is that thentracking or delivery confirmation must be uploaded before item is due to be delivered. A seller can choose to do that or not bother, it's up to them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Unless I am very much mistaken, on several occasions I wanted to put 3/4-star rating as feedback for the postage cost, but this was impossible as "the seller automatically got 5 star rating for the postage". The sellers in question used eBay Shutl.I don't know why you think Shutl is the only way to go all that does is add the tracking or delivery confirmation at point of sale,
Perhaps I am reading the wrong page. Here are the prices I've found. To me it looks like RM 2nd class Shutl is £4.74+80p for delivery confirmation, but if you going directly it is £3.90, if you buy online, and this is signed for. Also Shutl prices are flexible and tend to be slightly lower than going direct, at the moment for instance their Royal Mail prices actually beat the price RM offer at the post office.0 -

I've absolutely no idea at all where that rate table comes from as it doesn't tally at all with the prices you are offered if you click print labels by your sold item. As at this morning I am being offered £2.90 RM small parcel 2nd class compared to £3 at the post office. Both RM direct and Shutl have delivery confirmation included in that price, no need to pay extra for signed for if item under £20.
Postage stars can not be given if item has inclusive postage, it doesn't matter where you buy your labels from.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Incidentally Myhermes prices are even better via Shutl. £2.79 small parcel up to 2kg compared to £4.05 direct with MyHermes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
