Hi can anyone help used a PPI claims company nearly 4 years ago. They managed to get one claim for me, but was told the other cards had no PPI so they said they would close the file. Now we have received a cheque from one of the credit card companies saying they have reviewed the previous claim and admitted an error. They also informed the PPI company prior to the cheque being sent. Have spoken to the PPI company and they have sent me an invoice with the rate of what I paid 4years ago. Can they do this after this amount of time ? Can they still charge the old rate ? Thanks

The CMC posted off your PPI complaint (literally all they do) so yes they are entitled to a cut of your refund. They are allowed to charge you at the rate you agreed to at the time.
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

you entered into a contract with the claims company covering whatever it covers for as long as it holds. Have you read it, as we can't see it from here?
the fact you posted this question on the house buying board rather than the totally separate and dedicated PPI board suggests you may need to read things more carefully

The fact you took out PPI in the first place suggests you may need to read things more carefully.the fact you posted this question on the house buying board rather than the totally separate and dedicated PPI board suggests you may need to read things more carefully....
The fact you employed a CMC to claim mis-selling further suggests you may need to read things more carefully.0
