Weather Stations

I feel like I'm in the market for a weather station, something multi-sensor, possibly Oregon Scientific. Anyone got any experience or tips to share ?

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?

I ended up going for the Oregon Scientific WMR86 package, which I've almost set up - just need to figure out the best places for the wind & rain gauges. The wireless sensors seem to be behaving, so far I'm happy with it (though their tech support helpline is appalling)

I don't need a weather station with the Met Office just down the road. :D

Or I can look for Dartmoor.....

If I can see it, it's going to rain.....
.....and if I can't see it, it's already raining. :)

Agreed, it's a bit of a luxury, as it's more of a 'this is what the weather has been like' than a forecast (for which I tend to use Ventusky). But the temp/humidity sensors in the greenhouses are already proving very useful (as the greenhouses are 40 odd metres away, down some steps, which is a bit of a trek if you're a bit under the weather (no pun intended)). And I find it kind of fascinating - I love learning new things
