Hi Karen - do you have the contact details for the NHS Trustee please? I have looked at the NHS Pensions website but couldn't find any references to the EL AVC policies.
Thanks very much.
Robert
No, that's exactly the problem.
The NHS Pensions Agency only knows about the final salary stuff, and will refer you to Prudential for its current NHS AVC link-up.
I have tried hard to find the NHS Equitable Life Trustee, to no avail
feet_up has more info in posts 131, 145 and 192 in this thread, but equally struggles for firm answers.
It's shocking that the thousands of NHS workers with the old EqL AVCs are so poorly-served. EqL tells me that they only report to the Trustee, who's obligated to communicate with its members.
EqL tells me that the uplift statement will be sent out by 31 Jan.... to the Trustee. You can, however, ring the Aylesbury number (0330 159 1531) who'll tell you the current , uplifted value.
I'm not clear if, armed with this info, you can transfer out of Utmost, or whether the mythical Trustee has to be involved.0 -
Thanks Karen
I am going to ontact the NHSBA and request that they provide me with details under a Freedom of Information request to provide me with contact details of the Trustee. I will post any responses that I get.0 -
Well keiran, you've a lot of patience with rstand21a calling you Karen!0

Yes, twice now.
I suppose I'm just a beaten-down soul who simply accepts this treatment in life.
I have actually asked NHSBA to liaise with directors/seniors in order to get to the Trustee, but they have given me nonsensical cut and paste responses suggesting incorrect offices (Prudential, EqL Compensation Scheme, EqL itself, etc etc )
The FOI request may work if it's handled by a senior level director who knows or understands anything of this takeover and the role of the NHS Trustee0 -
Are Utmost likely to have any Ethical Funds to choose from ?0

Outsourcing NHS pensions to Capita and getting rid of the very NHS pensions specialists who know all the ins and outs of the various historical NHS AVC schemes.
What could possibly go wrong.....
I hope someone gets to the bottom of this farrago.
Worth contacting your MP?

Fund choices for ex EL members - see Utmost website
https://www.utmost.co.uk/investment-funds/fund-information-heritage-equitable-life-joining-utmost-1-january-2020/
Or the original investment choice booklets
Linked from Utmost history pages:-

see

None appear to be explicitly labelled ethical. You may need to tranfer.
The two sets of information overlap - and the website is still a little out of date - e.g. some fund details not expected to next month etc.0 -
My sincerest apologies Kieran. Thanks for all your help. I have contacted Ayldsbury and they were very helpful.0

Good idea to start a thread. I have Equitable AVCs attached to a previous employment defined benefit scheme as a defined contribution AVC pot. I can't touch the AVC pot until I draw the defined benefit pension. I'm planning to draw the pension from the DB scheme maybe Ausust/September 2020. I don't know if the Equitable spin off and increaee in the AVC pot value will have happened by then. As far as I know, there isn't actually a published definite timescale.
I'm trying to find out when pension scheme members such as yourself first heard from your pension trustees/administrators (in summer 2018?) about the proposed transfer of the Equitable.
The trustees/administrators would have got a letter from the Equitable dated “July 2018”, and presumably they passed that on to you?
If you could let me know the date you first received anything from them, I'd be very grateful.
