Greetings all.
I’m just about to buy a new range cooker and I was wondering which is the best way to go in terms of the fuel ... ie electric ovens and gas hob .. or an electric oven and hob . .!
Which is the most economic? :j

Who cares which is the most economic? Like most people we prefer a gas hob (more controllable & can use any cookware) & an electric oven (cleaner, heats up faster & heats more evenly).

Electricity is about 12p or more per kWh
Gas is available at less than 3p per kWh

After having an electric oven and hob in this flat, an electric oven and gas hob in the last one, really makes me miss my gas cooker.

What do you prefer cooking with OP as I would do preference over cost!

Induction hobs are very popular these days, though I haven't tried one myself. I imagine they cost more to run compared to gas.

Likewise, but they do need steel, ferrous, pans, so new pots & pans may be needed
