Can I ask, have any other posters had a small but constant occurance of the little spotted bug wandering about their properties all through the winter?

Lots of ladybirds round our way, several different species - several overwintered in the house

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?

Can’t move for them here! Never seen so many and can’t prune things back for fear of disturbing the clumps of them on the tips of various plants.

Not a big population of these in my part of Middle Devon at any time, despite other insects being prolific. I've seen one or two since the year began.

That’s the thing, we normally see very few here in the Highlands, but over-run with them at the moment.

I was down in Staffordshire in January and with a light on in the house and a window open, the rooms were filling up with them.

I guess last year must have been a good year for aphids and hopefully the influx of ladybirds now, augurs well for aphid control this year.

I've noticed them inside the house more than usual this spring, I'm in the East Midlands.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Thanks for your comments. Shepperton, triple glazed home. Just one or two ambling about, most days, mainly in the kitchen.
