These work for me;

you can buy cheaper ones but Kasa App(TPlink) is one of the best0 -
I'll second the TPlink plugs. We have several and they all work flawlessly, both with the app and with Google home hubs.
In fact, we hardly ever use the app as set up with Google was so easy and they works flawlessly, so voice control just becomes natural.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I have those, the only downside if if you get a powercut the plugs activate before the router powers up and they then wont work.
Switch that socket off manually and it all works again. They need to add a delay into scanning for wifi after a powercut. Or to try again after a set period.
At present they scan for wifi and then give up and sulk

I would recommend the Meross smart plugs, which are £37.99 On Amazon for 4. These also have built in energy monitoring so you can see the current power a device is using and the history of power usage all on the App.
They work wiith Google Home, Alexa and IFTTT.
I've had them for quite a while now and have had no issues at all even after many power cuts they work again automatically.0 -
My TPlink smart plugs, along with smart bulbs, work so well. App or voice controlled. Easy to set up, never had any issues following power cuts.0

That would be a minor annoyance if it happens regularly. I take it you live in a rural location? I can't remember the last time we had a power outage here. It was certainly more than 20 years ago.forgotmyname wrote: »I have those, the only downside if if you get a powercut the plugs activate before the router powers up and they then wont work.

My experience.............I have had a couple of power cuts recently . My TP link plugs connected after about 5 minutes delay automatically to my BT hub 6
