Council changing road access

If it's Northanger Road (I can't see any other obvious candidates on the council's site) then the notice about it is here (though not the TRO itself, which would have detail about any exemptions for e.g. blue badge holders). It has already been made, so the OP has lost their chance to make any representations. Note though that it's an experimental order (not apparent how long it will last) so there would be an opportunity to object to any future proposals to make it permanent.0

you don't have any particular right to...park outside your house
No, a permit just means you're exempt from being ticketed for parking in residents bays within the relevant zone. There's no implication that a parking bay outside your house will always be there (or be accessible at the times you want).I'd say the permit she purchased from the council fundamentally suggests otherwise0 -
Thanks for the replies everyone. Some useful advice here. I'll speak to the council and go through the correct channels to register my unhappiness.
I don't know if this is a new scheme but for clarity:- It does say emergency vehicles and blue badge holders exempt.
- It will be enforced with a fine apparently
Many thanks again though0 -
By enforcement I didn’t mean a penalty but the process by which cars and their drivers would be identified. Either there will be people doing it or cameras. It surely cannot be beyond the wit of Lambeth council to devise a system to allow residents to enter as well as exit.
Though tbh I’m not sure such restrictions would bother me. Having lived on a road with a school and witnessed the complete lack of regard for safety by parents who drive their kids, I would probably be pleased.0 -
One assumes they would employ ANPR cameras at each junction of the road. A bit like the bus gateways Essex County Council introduced.Never Knowingly Understood.
