Just because the render was OK the day before doesn't necessarily mean there was nothing wrong with it.
It's likely the render has been deteriorating over time (which naturally happens), and the storm has highlighted the issue.
The insurer isn't saying that that if there was no storm, it would have happened the same day anyway, they are saying that it would have happened eventually, but the storm has accelerated the rendering to come off, but not caused it entirely. This is the difference.
When was the rendering last done?
If you complain to your insurers, it's likely they will advise you to obtain an independent report yourself - have you had someone independent look at it yet?0 -
Thank you we’re are in the process of getting out our own independent report, we have sent a signed statement from our neighbor to confirm the damaged happened on the day of the storm as he was a witness also stating there was no cracks or sign of wear or tear, also a full picture of our house that also evidences no sign of wear and tear . Unfortunately I have now seen threads re the company we used Policy Expert and Trinity Claims if I had found this website before I would have stayed well clear 0
