2.1 x 13.85p = 29.085p
Bulbs figure is more accurate as they are using 21 in their calculation and not 2.10 -

21 times 13.85 according to excel is 290.85 divide it by 100 gives 2.91 rounded
according to Bulb 21 times 13.85p is £2.96.
Still don't see how Bulb figure is more accurate.0 -
Well, yes, now that you've changed the information offered your calculation is more accurate. My post was based on your original post stating that you made 21 x 13.85p = 29.085p.
Now that you've adjusted, your calculations appear more accurate0 -
I agree with your £2.91 figure, It's slightly quicker to do 21 x 0.1385, negates the need to divide by 100...but the value is the same.
Have you asked Bulb about their calculation ?0 -
Have you asked Bulb about there calculation ?
No, not yet.
That was my first bill from them for the 3 days since switching to them.
Still not got my £50, neither has my friend who recommended me.
Just wondering if anyone had an explanation.0 -

They are more accurate than Bulbs calculations.0 -
Have you got your actual bill? Might show some more detailed workings out.0

Yes and no0 -
And the only difference is one is ten fold the other...the only way to improve accuracy is to add decimal places........no ?
The OP looked like it was querying why his calculation of 21 x 13.85p = 29.085p was showing a different total (naturally) compared to Bulb's figure of closer to £2.90.
It has been edited since I wrote my first response, I was just pointing out why his figure looked so different in the OP.
I do agree his calculation now is accurate vs Bulbs assuming nothing else has been factored into their calculation0
