Do i stand anywhere?!

Hello all
I'm new to this forum and have a very contentious question with regard to Consumers Rights. I have not as yet got in contact with Trading Standard but just thought someone out there on this forum may have a little background knowledge or experience with regard to what im about to ask.
I am in the situation 7 years down the line of being stuck with a LED projector that boasted 30,000 hours of lamp life and had to have two DMD chips changed in it since being bought. I understand that the 3 year warranty is well expired now as I bought the LED projector back in 2011 for around £400. And heres the situation, I feel I was misinformed by a well known electronics manfacturer that made this particular LED projector, advertising was along the lines "never change a bulb again as its LED technology". However, they stopped making parts for the unit after six years. So heres the crux of it all, if your projector needed fixing, it couldn't be fixed so it'd never be able to even reach the advertised 30,000 lamp life. More to the point if a company invests in advertising the "longegivity" of a certain model of projector (30,000 hours is a long time) surely you would continue making the parts for it to see it through?!
In my opinion I feel like I was misinformed. I chose a LED over an LCD as I didnt want to keep paying for a new lamp bulb with a LCD one every 4000-5000 hours and as it happened since buying new this LED projector as only given me a total of around 5.5000 lamp hours of entertainment. The electronics company has washed their hands of it all, stating they cannot assist me as they no longer make the parts for this particular model. So my question is do I have a leg to stand on with regard to any consumers rights on the grounds the advertising was misleading?
I hope this all makes sense?!
Thanks for any info or opinions its much appreciated.

Misleading adverts thats the advertising authority .
Purchased 2011 well passed the 6 year deadline for CR court action.
Trading Standards dont handle this .
Nothing is ever supplied by parts for ever and ever .
They supplied for a whole six years .0 -
You'll almost certainly be able to get parts on ebay.
If you'd bought it for business and only used it for an hour a week, would you expect the manufacturer to keep on supplying parts for the next 600 years?0 -
Thanks for the replies looks like I dont have a leg to stand on then! I didnt use it for a business and slightly feel disgruntled by the fact that I should have spent my money on a LCD projector as the promise of 30,000 hours was pie in the sky! Lesson learnt, but certainly not happy about how my query was dealt with by the manufacturer. I would have at least expected them to have some hindsight and foresight that if they making a projector whose lamp lasted 30,000 hours then to back that up by keeping hold of parts for it. Looks like with this particular model the DMD chips kept going in them, I had two replaced in its time, so its not stood the testament of time with regard to how it was advertised. Time to get a LCD and take this LED one up to the tip I guess. Thanks again for the input.0
