Hi,,am currently in receipt of E.S.A and P.I.P and have been for 7 years...

I had a medical back on November,,and had my P.I.P reduced to the standard rate..
I got a call yesterday from a lady from the D.W.P saying: my appeal won and i was back on the enhanced rate again after faIling one point short..

My Mum phoned the lady that was helping me at the money advice, and said that i should have said no to the person at D.W.P and go a head with the medical because my E.S.A might very well be affected?

Can anyone shed any light on this? My advicer is going to write to them! my medical had nothing to do with E.S.A and so i don't see how this can be affected because it's a seperate benefit?

Also my P.I.P is back to the enhanced rate,,and backdated from November,,does anyone know how much it will be am due?

thanks

stephen..

Your change to PIP does not affect your ESA award.

You don't say whether you are talking about daily living component or mobility component.
For daily living the difference between standard and enhanced would be £28.30/week
For mobility the difference between standard and enhanced would be £37.10/week
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

according to yesterdays thread re the PIP backdate
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5989449/pip

Hello,,my pip was cut on november 2018 to the standard rate from enhanced rate..

I have a math question people,,can't count well now lol,,anyways..

From november 2018 i had my money reduced from £87.65 to £58.70 per week,,and another amount which is from £61.20 to £23.20 also weekly..

The question is: how much would i be due from november 2018 to now when they are increasing the benefit again,,and it's backdated from november?

    thanks
