Stamp Duty on inherited house.

Hello,

I'm trying to sort the estate of my wife who passed away without a will, all going smoothly until I get to property and am unsure what to do next, the .gov website has been quite useful but it said I need to send a copy of the Stamp Duty certificate to the Land Registry.

It doesn't say where I get this from or a copy, any ideas? The house was bought >18 years ago.

the Stamp Duty Land Tax certificate or self-certificate, or Land Transaction Tax certificate for properties sold in Wales on or after 1 April 2018 (if tax was paid on the property)

There is no stamp duty.

ok thanks, I thought it meant the original stamp duty paid when house was bought (not sure if there was any as it was so long ago.)
