credit card blocked

i got my credit card blocked 2 weeks ago because a company i was using had their database hacked so to be on the safe side the bank stopped all credit cards that had used that company and issued new ones. The problem is that it happened the day after i purchased some items on the internet. Both were processed and authorised but to date they have not been charged on my credit card bill. 1 is very important to me and i emailed the company and said that if i had an order number the purchase had been processed and was successful and i do have an order number.
I contacted my bank and they had an authorisation for the 2 items but neither had come back and requested the money. I am just worried that i havent actually bought the 2 items. The bank said that they only keep the authorisation active for a while and that if they dont request the money that the purchase will be declined and the problem with that is i was just wondering if it is policy for the company to then contact you to say its been declined and give you a chance to purchase the item again only this time with a card that has not been blocked?
Sorry for this being long winded but neither my bank nor the companies i bought the items off are helping me on this matter as both say everythings ok. But if everythings ok surely i would see the charge on my credit card by now and that was 2 weeks today!
