virgin are messing us around and i want to get away from them and connect another isp. my partner says that he never signed a contract. would they have any comeback in court or other?

"Verbal contracts just aren't worth the paper they're written on", as someone said to me once.
I'm no legal expert, but I believe that they are legally binding. Proving that such a contract existed is a slightly different matter, however.0 -
As esuhl says, they're legally binding but with verbal contracts it all comes down to proof that they were made. In the above case I think they'd only have a strong case if they had a recording that supported their claim. But presumably there must have been some kind of paperwork to get payment for Virgin set up in the first place and/or register with them."She is quite the oddball. They stick on their website small print that if you accept their offer your tied in for 12 months, I've tried getting out of my second orange contract because they sold me an upgrade of "up to 8mb" then it turned out I could only get 2mb on my line, they said it was my own fault, and that I should have checked my line speed before agreeing the "upgrade", verbal or not once they see money going in their direction they wriggle like snakes to keep itThere are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0
