Vax

I have a carpet cleaner, which is a replacing due to my other breaking down it is 7 months old and water keeps pouring down the back of the machine
I have contacted vax and they have told me I need to find an authorised repairer to do a report on the machine before they will replace it. I have sent a video of the machine fault, which thy said it’s not good enough and refused to help until they get a report.
I live nowhere near anywhere that will do a report, what can I do please help

As item is over six months the onus will be on you to prove that the fault was inherent at time of purchase... so to answer your question get the report.

Surely VAX would have to tell you who an authorised repairer is?

Not sure OP is suggesting that they haven’t told them.

Do you mean you bought it 7 months ago, or it was a (free) replacement after you complained about a previous one breaking down?

I thought the same. Vax have always been very good to me, sending out replacement parts on three occasions inside the six year guarantee mine came with, one of which was well over five years since I bought it. They don't strike me as a company that will be difficult so I wonder whether OP has been flagged as a potential problem customer?

I agree, I've stuck with Vax for vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooer, floor washer, for years because I have always found their customer service first class.
