Eu consumer rights - wedding flowers

Hi guys
Last year we decided to get married in Croatia and went along with the kids on holiday to meet wedding planners and see venues.

We decided on a wedding planner because my partner works full time and also I work full time whilst doing a masters which requires 2 days placement alongside work and uni.

The wedding planner is expensive and so far her service has not been great. With us sourcing out are own venues , restaurant and Dj as her options have been limited

In December she gave us 2 qoutes of florist , these were basic quotes of how much items in a wedding usually cost I.e price of bouquet , wedding arch etc . Our planner encouraged us to go with one particular florist and convinced us to pay the deposit of 203 euros. We paid it , as we just wanted to box things off and the. Asked her for her ideas for what she had planned for our flowers.

The price of the flowers and lights for two venues and travel in August this year was £1800. Which we thought was extortionate even at the time , but felt we had little choice as the other florist was also quite expensive
The florist has taken two months to show us her ideas, and she now states that the overal price is now £2700 as one of the prices was per table.

I stated that we wanted very basic decorations with no flowers on the table ( just a runner and the plates with name cards and a piece of rosemary , stating that I still wanted a bouquet , lights for both venues a wedding arch , a flowe on the chair.

I stated that rather then paying extra for the tables I could pay extra for bridesmaid and flowers girl flowers. Something that wasn’t originally factored in .

She responded by contacting my wedding planner stating that if I did not go with her original quote she does not want to work with us.

So in effect I was not permitted to have my own ideas for the wedding . This has been very upsetting for us and she is refusing to give back the deposit.

We feel that the deposit should be refunded as
* she effectively cancelled the service.
* lack of promised communication about the service .
* we felt pressured into the service .

Does anyone know my consumer rights in a Eu country
