Brunel Franklin - Help!

I signed up to Brunel Franklin PPI claim. They wrote to Barclays and then emailed me to say could not find any PPI. Then out of the blue Barclays said there was, sent me a questionnaire, which i completed myself, and paid me £2k and cc’d BRunel in. Today I get a bill for £700+ from Brunel.

Am I shafted or is there anything I can do to challenge this rip off?

Where is the "rip off"? You signed a legally-binding contract with this company agreeing to them representing you in PPI complaints. They then posted off your complaint which was initially rejected because no evidence could be found. The fact that the Bank subsequently found your records does not somehow invalidate your contract and so, yes, you'll have to pay £700+ or be taken to court.

Understand that you were "shafted" the minute you signed the contract, but the Claim Company only offered to represent you and charge you for the privilege. Any form-filling was always down to you.
