Police or Community Speed Watch?
In our village this evening there was a person standing at the side of the road wearing a yellow fluorescent jacket with a camera on a tripod. Both in front and behind them was a sign saying Speed Enforcement. Would this be someone from our local community speed watch or the police?

I wish there was a 'busy body' where I live as there are far too many young drivers in their speedster cars that have no regard for the public or the law.0 -

You need the police then, not a local busy body. If the police got off their backsides and out into the coummunity, instead of investigating dead people for sex offences, and trawling Twitter for instances of so-called 'hate speech', we'd all be a lot better off.0 -

I havent seen much movement yet, but in theory markets like pickups and vans are likely to be hit by the upcoming downturn.Would be interesting to hear if anyone has direct experience? Why? So you can argue with them?0

Wish it was just young drivers where I live that race around like there's no tomorrow, by far the worse are the parents taking their children to one of the nearby Schools, these parents would be the first to complain if their child were injured by a speeding driver.0 -

Mind you, I get the impression that if you were stopped by the police for speeding you'd be one of the "haven't you got anything better to do?" mob.
If you got knocked down would you mind a "local busy body" being a first responder?0 -

after 6 mths 426 locals , who lived on the road and 2 passing sales reps0 -

They are amongst the worst drivers. Annoyingly resplendent with their 'baby on board' signs. How often do you see t wats driving with those ghastly signs? Loads I bet?
Most of the mums around here in their Sharans drive like joyriders at school time. They obviously don't think about 'other children'.Funnily, i've been pondering a small Caddy sized van to facilitate a side project i'm going to work on.
