Hi All,
Im currently selling my house - a Barratts Home built in 2006. I cannot find a FENSA certificate - and the FENSA website has no record of one either?! Could this possibly be right? I have tried addresses of the whole estate and they are the same!
Thanks all x

You don’t need one and one will have never been issued on a new build estate. Building control will have satisfied themselves. Expect more hassle from your purchasers uneducated conveyancers. I’m guessing they are using an online “cookie cutter” type firm?Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
If the windows were added by the/an owner subsequently to the original construction, then there should have been either
* a FENSA cert
* certass cert or
* building Regs crtification.
If the windows were installed during the original construction (2006) and never replaced, they would have been covered by the overall building regulations certification.0 -
Thanks for the reply Jeff - I haven't been asked for one yet. But my solicitor (in a list on a standard letter) has asked for a number of things inc a FENSA cert.0
