Solarplicity. Ignore complaints. Do not refund overpayments.
Options
I left Solarplicity last October with a credit of £21.
Since leaving I have tried many times to get this money refunded. They ignore all emails and when phoned promise to send the money but it never materialises. Since January I have have logged 33 emails and 9 complaints. Not one has been acknowledged even though my tracker shows they were viewed. Today I rang again to be told that as I had logged a complaint they could only escalate it and could not issue the refund whilst I had a complaint in the system!!!!!!!
They are a total joke and I'm sure they are not allowed to retain my money like this. Or are they?

I am in the same position as you, I left in November last year, and I’m owed just over £100, as it been building up my balance ready for winter.
After constant hassling, complaints, phone calls, and emails I’ve had enough and decided to go to the Ombudsman, and I suggest you do the same.
The other option, which someone else mentioned, is using the direct debit guarantee to call back the overpayment, but I’ve no idea if that would work.0 -
I tried again unsuccessfully to claim my money from them and despite more phone calls and promises. Nothing. Within two weeks of filing with the ombudsman the overpayment has gone into my account. No contact from them however at all. They are bad. Very bad!0
