Difficulty accessing UK credit report after returning to UK after living in EU

Hi all!

I have just returned to the UK after living in the EU for over 6 years!

Currently living with family and starting a new job next week which has a good salary.
Hoping to get a mortgage with my partner, who also has a good salary, working on a contract basis for company based in EU (paid in swedish kronor)

He currently owns property which he is in the process of selling, and looks like we will be in the very fortunate position of having a good deposit.

My question is about credit ratings! As i have no UK address history for the last 6 years, all 3 credit agencies are unable to trace me. I am guessing this means I have a blank credit score.

How will this affect me when applying for a mortgage?
Was hoping to buy soon but will i need to spend time building my score?
Is it possible to use credit scores from another EU country, as I was working and spending correctly on credit cards while i was there and have a good credit score?

Any advice or help would be appreciated!

No. Credit scores aren't used in the UK at all and can't be transferred. You will need to build a UK credit history here from scratch.
