50th Birthday Present ideas

Hi,

I'm looking for ideas for my partners 50th birthday

Before anyone says, Im not trying to do this on the cheap :-) just looking for ideas

She's really not materialistic, not 'label' conscious and not into tech, doesnt currently hold a passport, and is registered disabled due to arhritis so cant really walk anywhere - in fact she's pretty much content with what 'money can buy'

So you can see I'm struggling a little - so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Me and our daughter are taking her for a few days break at a hot tub cabin thing so she can just sit about and get away from life for a bit, but it would be nice to get her something else too.

Thanks

Why not tell her you really want to get her something nice and would like some suggestions...?

I wanted to surprise her with something.
Me and the daughter have picked her a locket out and I'm going to put pictures of her son and daughter in.

Can you do 50 things for her?
A shout out on her favourite radio station.
    Trio to ?????
    Cinema day out
    Cut the grass!
These are random but you're the one picking them.

Rather depends what you want to spend and what her hobbies are

Afternoon tea at M&S or a stately home?
An 'experience'- some great animal ones near me @ £55
Her favourite photo made into a large canvas

A small treat per week for 50 weeks /or the year- could be written as a voucher book:
These could be magazine subscription- lots @ 6 for £6 at present by Hearst mags such as Good Housekeeping
    recently published paperback
    luxury tea/coff/drinking chocolate
    bar of chocolate
    new lipstick
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

    Many thanks

What about things that focus on your trip away.

A nice set of lauggage/holdall or new handbag/purse.

    Nice set of bath/body products.

    New outfit.

If she's not into brands/labels focus your purchases on practicality instead.

Is she even faintly into family? As a year's ancestry membership might be a lot of fun if so. (If she gets seriously into it you may never go on holiday again without having gravestones or parish registers to check but the skills are actually useful to the legal profession who want to sort out this missing heir who's just appeared...)

What about jewellery, a lovely pair of earrings. Maybe her daughter could help you choose.

Does anyone else think that there is connection between the suggestion for a 'small tent party' from user 'nationaltentandparty'?

    Hit the :spam: button.
    Again!

nationaltentandparty has already had one advertising post removed from this thread.

And they are based in the US - Minneapolis.

You can gift her scrapbook in which you have mentioned all the memories you have spent with her.
