Scottish Law Change??

Hi, quick question. I'm in Scotland & I've had a few tickets before. Done as was said & eventually the letters stopped. My wife got one dated 28th March for overstaying by 12 minutes. I read a while back that laws may be changing in Scotland regarding going after the owner rather than the driver. Question is, have the laws changed anytime recently, or is it just the same i.e. ignore the letters?
Thanks.

Scottish law is unchanged and keeper liability does not apply.

Actually, it’s being promoted by Murdo Fraser, a Tory MSP.

But his proposals didn't make it into the Transport (Scotland] Bill that is currently going through the Scottish Parliament. So it looks like it has been kicked into the long grass.

I haven't looked at the Bill but I heard that Scotland are introducing keeper liability.

But if it happens, it cannot be retrospective.
    ignore the letters?
Not quite. ALWAYS COMPLAIN TO THE RETAILER STORE MANAGER.

I've always just ignored them. Kept getting them, but eventually they stopped, so I'll expect another 3 or 4 yet.

We don’t condone the disregarding of the wishes of landowners, shown on the signage in their car parks. The more of these you rack up, the more attractive you become for a punt through the Sheriff Court.
