TV 4 months out of warranty. Needs repair.

I bought a TV from argos December 2017. The screen has now developed patches on it that distort the images. Do I have any rights for a claim to get it repaired by Phillips /argos ? it is just out of warranty. By 4 months .

Its a good TV. 4K HDR Ambilight so seems a shame to bin it if a repair is too costly . Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm clueless about these things as never had a TV fail so early. Last one was 10 years old and I've still got it .

Your rights are your statutory ones against the retailer under CRA 2015. None against Phillips.
These badged-up brands are rarely repairable, as spares are often not available and there is no service network.
