Someone on this thread advised the payments are issued via chaps, contacted my bank (nationwide) they advised it will be credited at some point today if it's a chaps payment

strange that folk are getting told that their monies will be in at some point today. I've phoned bank of Scotland online banking and been told that the 1st time they'll know about any amounts coming into account is when they actually do show, ie they aren't able to see any 'pending' payments, again, I'm with Bank of Scotland, who may use a different system, but would be surprised if that's the case. Looking into the systems used by HMRC, I was told on a previous call to them that they use BACS to process payments.

They definitely pay by Bacs to pay someone with Chaos there is a fee of 25 to 30 pound no way hmrc maybe in some cases they use that but 90% will be bacs

Don't forget tho that they probably put the payment in our banks on the 16th it's now the 18th so it will clear ... The website is a day behind

That would lead me to think there will be at least a day to wait before clearing into banks then. I'd say either Tuesday/Wednesday after the holidays

My account shows bank repayment dates the 18th, although the main account shows updated 17th. either way I don't think the bacs system updates throughout the day, I'm paid by bacs on a weekly basis and you could set your watch on it being in anywhere from 12pm the Thursday night to 6am in the morning.

Important is that they finally processed the payments , now it's a waiting game again...
As you can see few already got the money in bank, and many more will get today i guess.


It doesn't matter what method etc , it's all about luck , you can get them now ,at 13 , tonight or maybe saturday.


I think everybody will get the payment today, late afteroon.
