Advice Please - Account Details Cannot be Found

Options
Hi

I have recently made a PPI claim on an old Goldfish Card, now Barclays, through Resolver and have sent them a copy of my last statement (this is all I have).

They have come back to me and said they cannot find any account details.

Is it worth pursuing through the FO or not?

Thank you

FOS will not be able to magic up any account details.

What information is contained in your statement?

    Is a PPI payment detailed?

Well then the Bank should be able to use that statement as the basis for comparative redress. Did you actually pay any PPI that month?

I'd go back to the Bank before any FOS referral. Are you certain they have your statement? Resolver is not the best method to use if you are including attachments.

I have sent the statement 3 times, so yes, they should have it. Posted twice and I know they received those letters as they have replied to me stating those letters. Unfortunately it is the last statement and only shows a minimal PPI payment, but it does prove I had the account and had PPI, but doesn't show how much I had on the credit card before I closed it.

I just don't want to waste my or their time on it if its going nowhere.

Thanks for your advice on this.

Well, as long as they have acknowledged your letters (not Resolver e-mails) then I would certainly question how they can reject on the basis they have no account details..

As I say, if your complaint is upheld they can use the statement to award comparative redress.
