No, just of of the plane or a ladder. Oh well... I guess I was in the wrong to expect a homebuyer survey to be detailed.
It is detailed, but should be obvious that the surveyor can't tell you about things they can't see!

Surely you would have known about them from the Property Information Form, which you probably would have received before getting a survey done?

What has your lender said about them? They will need to know.

  • No, the panels are not mentioned anywhere. If it wasn't fir google maps, we would find out in a few weeks time, after doi g the searches.
No idea why they tried to hide them, but now our lawyers are aware of the problem, so they will examine the contracts.

If there are solar panels, then there will be an inverter somewhere.

If you did not see it, then it's probably mounted up in the loft space. Now I don't know about others but if buying I house I want to see in the loft space for myself.

But even if you did not look in yourself, the surveyor did. You just might think he would have said something like "I could see what looks line an inverrter in the loft that suggests there may be solar panels on the roof in a location that I cannot see from the ground"

Have you had the PIF from them?

What did they say when asked about solar panels? (Try number 4.6 if the form I saw was up to date.)

I assume the panels are working correctly, there will only be a problem if they cannot transfer ownership, or you or your mortgage company refuse to accept the terms.
