The Yorkshire Vet S8 Competition 2 – Additional Terms and Conditions

• Competition closes at midday on 01.07.2019 and 3 working days later 1) The prize comprises:
  a) Standard class return rail travel for four from UK mainland station nearest to the prize winner’s home address to Darlington/Northallerton, unless the winner’s home address is in Northern Ireland, in which case, the prize will include return economy class flights and transfers to the property;
  b) Return private transfers for four between Darlington/Northallerton train station and the lodges in the Yorkshire Dales;
  c) Seven (7) nights’ accommodation for four in a 3-bedroom lodge in the Yorkshire Dales courtesy of Travel Together Co. (subject to availability); and
  d) £1000 spending money.
  2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of their congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
  3) The prize must be taken and completed within 12 months of the congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and cannot be taken over UK Bank Holidays (26th August 2019, 4th May 2020, 25th May 2020 and 31st August 2020) or during the following dates: 27th May to 31st May 2019, 22nd July 2019 to 31st August 2019, 21st October to 1st November 2019, 17th December 2019 to 2nd January 2020 and 5th April to 23rd April 2020.
  4) Should the prize winner prefer to drive themselves a mileage allowance up to the value of £200 will be offered and the rail allowance and taxi transfers will be forfeited. The allowance will be calculated at 45p per mile from the prize winner’s home address to the lodge.
  5) Where the prize winner is under 18 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to check into the lodge. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the lodge for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or their companions adhere to the local laws in the UK.
  6) The prize excludes transfers between the winner’s home and the train station/airport, drinks, additional meals, excursions, attractions, spa treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, travel insurance and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.
  7) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the prize winner and his/her companion when taking the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.
  8) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. Neither Channel 5 nor Element will accept responsibility for the hotel or any facilities being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.
  9) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.
  10) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
  11) A cheque for the £1000 spending money included in the prize will be issued in the prize winner’s name within 14 days of the holiday booking being confirmed.
