    I used to think that estate agents were barstewards. Having read this thread, I have to completely rethink my attitude. This lot are clearly cunning barstewards.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Nobody has picked up on the clear conflict of interest in this business model. Ordinarily an estate agent will only get paid when the property sells which is in alignment with the buyers intention of buying and the sellers intention of selling.

    If any sales fall through with this company they can put the property back on the market and sting another potential buyer for £2,000. In fact the more times a sale falls through the more they will earn. Little wonder then that the estate agent picks their own solicitor.

    I did a little more research and wondered how this company has earned a rather impressive 4.5star average on Google reviews. Upon closer inspection many of those who posted five star reviews also posted five star reviews for several branches at about the same time, indeed they just copied and pasted the same comments, not even subtle!
