They told me that my parcel was lost, encouraged me to put in a claim - which I did - and agreed to resolve my claim by a particular date. Four days after that date, Hermes miraculously found my parcel (missing six weeks by this point) and delivered it .... Christmas presents in mid-January. They think this discharges their responsibility, I disagree given they declared it as lost and I complied with all their insurance requirements. I've got my case going through Resolver at the moment.
claim for what? The items were delivered
I doubt they offer compensation for delay or consequential loss0 -

Heck, there's no point even telling the OP that they had the wrong insurance level if you can never actually claim against insurance for loss in case they find the item at a later date ...:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Am I meant to wait indefinitely in case they find a lost parcel months later? What's the point of insurance against loss in that case? That's the basis of my claim, that I purchased insurance and submitted a claim in line with their own guidelines.

Perhaps you should have waited for your insurance claim to be paid before replacing the "lost" item in that case.0
