Verified by Visa TSB

Trying to pay a bill today I get a pop up window from Verified by Visa and it wants to send a security number.
When I click it says message sent but where has it gone.
It's not in the email I account I used when trying to purchase the Item, I tried twice with different accounts with same result.
I clicked the help message at the bottom of the popup window and it takes me to a TSB page but nothing about registering the card, so I tried to make an account but that only seems for business accounts and this is personal.
Really frustrating.
Cheers sel.

I don't have a mobile phone and the card isn't registered I think thats the problem.
I did find out how to get to the personal banking page at TSB but no matter how many times I try and set it up it just tells me to amend the passwords and ID even though they are correct.
Never mind I bought the item over the phone directly.
I do remember trying to use Visa before with another card and gave up on that as well.0 -
Going forward you are going to need a method of receiving a One Time Password (OTP) for online purchases.
I believe if you don't have a mobile it can be sent to your landline.0 -
When ordering the item I gave my land line number and an email but received nothing.
You would think if it couldn't send the the information it would say it hadn't been sent.
Not everyone needs a mobile phone, I find if I use prepayment they expire before I've used all the credit on it.0 -

They would use the number you registered on your TSB online banking (if any)
Kind of defeats the purpose if they use the number you enter when ordering.0 -
But I can't register online as it keeps saying I need to enter a password and ID but no matter how many times I try it fails when trying to set up online banking.
There's a separate check for too few letters or wrong characters and it passes that.
Maybe that account doesn't have online option but again it should tell you that, then that would make the Visa thing redundant.0 -
Have you ever registered the account for online banking?0
-
No and I can't, as it just keeps saying amend some of the settings and try again. No matter what I select it just keeps doing the same.0

You'll probably need to call TSB to get online banking set up.0
