AOL mail via Gmail

I had this working until a couple of months ago.
On my Gmail account it says 'Authentication error.Server returned error "[SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later."
I have tried re imputing my username and password and I get 'pop.aol.com doesn't support leaving messages on the server' even though that is unticked on the gmail form.
Can anyone help please. TIA,

I have sorted this out now by deleting the old info and starting again.
You don't have to choose POP or IMAP now Google sorts it out for you.
When it's finished you get this message....... You've been Gmailified!0
