• Competition closes at midday on 04.06.2019 and 3 working days later for postal entries.
  • 1) The prize comprises:
    a) Return economy class flights for two to New York, USA from the Prize Provider’s choice of airport in London;
    b) Return private airport transfers for two between the airport and hotel in New York;
    c) Three (3) nights’ accommodation for two at a four-star hotel in New York, based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a Double/Twin Room on a bed and breakfast basis (subject to availability);
    d) A ninety-minute shared walking tour of Grand Central Terminal with a local guide for two people;
    e) Two-course lunch at Michelin Starred restaurant in Grand Central Station for two people with one cocktail per person and
    f) Travel insurance for two. 2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of the date of their congratulations e-mail from Element and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
    3) The prize must be taken and completed within 12 months of the congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and cannot be taken over the months of July and August or during any of the following dates: 2nd September 2019, 14th October 2019, 28th November 2019 to 4th January 2020, 10th to 13th April 2020, 4th May 2020, 25th May 2020 and 26th November 2020 to 4th January 2021 .
    4) The flight routing will be determined by the Prize Provider.
    5) The prize winner and their companion must depart from and return to the same UK airport.
    6) Stay must include a Saturday night at the hotel.
    7) The prize winner and their companion must hold a current and valid passport and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to the USA including but not limited to making a timely application for receipt of ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) authorization under the Visa Waiver Program. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for themselves and their companion. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the trip.
    8) Travel insurance terms exclude pre-existing medical conditions and insurance is subject to standard policy excesses and an upper age limit of 74 years.
    9) Where the prize winner is under 21 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over to check into the hotel. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or their companion adhere to the local laws in the USA. It is highly recommended that the prize winner and their companion obtain advice from a medical professional in advance of travelling and ensure that vaccinations are up to date.
    10) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or his/her companion adhere to the local laws in the USA, including but not limited to, the legal age limit for driving and for buying, drinking and possessing alcoholic beverages which is 21 years or over. It is highly recommended that the prize winner and his/her companion obtain advice from a medical professional in advance of travelling and ensure that vaccinations are up to date.
    11) The prize excludes ground transfers in the UK, additional meals and drinks which are not included in the prize, additional excursions, attractions, treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, visas and vaccinations where required and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.
    12) Tickets to the Tour of the Secrets of Grand Central Terminal are subject to availability and are only valid on the date selected and are non-transferable.
    13) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. Neither Channel 5 nor Element will accept responsibility for the hotel or any facilities being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.
    14) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.
    15) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
