NS&I waives the rules - again

So, once again, NS&I is knowingly sending out false statements of interest - to you, and to HMRC.
Well, to be fair - once forced, last year, by their boss, HMT, to admit that they were doing wrong they did say that they wouldn't change their procedures in future - and so it has come to pass.
So look closely at any statement you receive from NS&I at what appears under the heading "Period Covered". Then look at the dates of the various transactions reported.
So far, here, 100% wrong

I only got an email saying there's a message for me on my account. This tells me that there is a document in Profile / Documents but there is no document. I haven't yet worked up the strength for calling them0

Yes, you have to persevere to get to the documents. The Guaranteed Income Bond documents received this afternoon say Period Covered to 5th April 2019 and yet the list, and the resulting total, includes payments due - and paid - today.

No doubt recruited by whoever recruited NS&I's managers, lawyers and mathematicians. When, last year, we'd got to the point where their boss, HMT, had thumped them into admitting their errors, NS&I's response was that wouldn't it all even out over the product's life?
Take that excuse to HMRC and see what happenss. /:T0 -
