Advise concerning unauthorized BT line installed on freeholders land

The phone line in irrelevant the issue is that permission was required and says so in the lease, this wasn't applied for. So if another resident wants to change something that requires permission and just goes ahead with it how can the Freeholders hold them to account when the defence is well they did it.
Sometimes its just a matter of principal and after all morals are based on principals.
The very worst argument is one of 'a matter of principle'.
It's having an argument purely for the sake of it.
The phone is is absolutely relevant because it is the issue! What you're agreeing with is that it's unreasonable for people in flats to have telephone lines. Which it isn't. The freeholder has no argument. The principle belongs to the occupier under the terms of the lease - which always dictates that freeholders cannot unreasonably withhold consent for reasonable requests.
This has nothing to do with morals either, other than the OP should feel morally obliged to mind their own business if they have no proper argument.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yes pretty much, we would quickly loose control of the land and the estate if people start having contractors installing lines, dishs or whatever.
I'm sure many of the posters here would be the first to complain if something was done by a neighbour.
If permission was sought then to be honest, I think it would still be refused.0 -

I can't believe you would not allow someone to have a phone line which provides an internet connection which is pretty important to have in this day and age.
Would you be happy to not have any phone line where you live?0 -
This has to be a wind up.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

All the properties have BT lines plus Cable. However external aerials are not permitted in the lease.0 -

But this is a house, the line is run across communal garden walls and garden.0
