    The way I close current accounts is by switching them, with a switch offer where I am still eligible for it (which is next to nowhere now). That's obviously not zero effort but it usually takes a minute or two to fill in the online switch request, and then another couple of minutes to update my tracking software and any paperwork I might have for the account. Nonetheless, I still have over two dozen of them left (clearly not all of them with TSB!), each of them having one good reason or other to exist ;)
