Salary Sacrifice & Household Income

When declaring household income to Student Finance, should I first deduct the pension contribution I make by salary sacrifice or not? I currently pay 30% in to my pension, so it would make a difference to the amount of maintenance loan my son receives.

Household income is your taxable income so after any salary sacrifice.
As it has already been deducted before tax was calculated If you deduct it again you are deducting it twice.

If pension payments are paid from net pay - after tax has been deducted- then you would show them on the form.
