In their will, my relative left a specific sum of money to the local village hall management committee. The exact wording is "I give the following pecuniary legacy £xxxx to THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE, xxx Village Hall, for its general purposes." No charity number was listed but I did manage to locate it on the charity…

Thanks for all your answers & help. Just shows how important it is to check your will every so often, to see if anything needs updating ... and also to be very specific. I was lucky that all beneficiaries were all in agreement with fulfilling our relatives wishes.
