Faulty bose speaker

Hi
I have a wireless bose speaker that I've rarely used, with original box. Bought maybe a year or so ago. No receipt.

Just tried it today after not using it for weeks and noticed crackles at higher volumes.

I expected more from bose quality.

If I took it to my local bose are they likely to swap or upgrade me?

Return the unit to your original retailer they mght have your date of purchase on record and if so and still in guarantee they’ll repair, replace or refund it’s there choice

I think you need to brush before advising on the consumer boards.

Called them, I have a 2 year manufacturer warranty til November 2019. All they needed was serial number.

Fair enough, but I stand by my response to your question: are they likely to swap or upgrade? I didn't think it likely but I'm glad they're giving good service and sorting it for you.

zx81 said nothing wrong, either. No need for him to brush (up?) on consumer law. With the information you gave, his answer was the correct one as well.

As you've found - it depends. Bose are one of those companies that tend to go above and beyond their legal requirements as they're concious of their brand.

Had you registered the device for the warranty after you bought it? (Someone must have for them to know the warranty status from the serial number).
