Welcome. Can you explain why?0 -

I am a leave voter and will always be a leave voter. I suppose I come under the demographic as over 50 who doesn't care about young people by some retainers.
My stance won't change and if anything has got stronger , the economy is suffering due to uncertainty and the complete failure of MP's getting on with it,
It should have been a swift process and left without a deal March 29th... we could now be repairing and planning the future instead of this limbo void we find ourselves in.
MP's should have implemented the referendum whether they were remain or not or else what's the point of a vote in the first place ?
They are there to serve the people of this country not their own agenda and should have rallied together and get the best deal possible.
They also should have had a business negotiator leading the talks , an MP hasn't a clue how to negotiate least of all Theresa May who was an ardent remainer
Am I banned now from the site ???0 -
The best deal possible is remaining, though. As is the best way to repair.
I wholehearted agree that deciding on something is better than this limbo, and there's no reason for you to be banned from this site (which lets face it, has a huge leave bias). That's all a bit off-topic anyway.0 -
Your previous owner joined back in 2008, but you made your first post only 2 months ago, and surprise surprise, it was a remainer bashing post:
I bet your password was 'caroline341245' until recently.
Curious. I wonder how you can switch from Remain to Leave, yet somehow vote Leave "again"?
That aside, if it was a genuine poster it'd be good to understand a bit more about the change of mind, for curiousitys sake. Maybe even some of us will be converted too.0 -
He still wants us to leave - just not on May's deal and not now?
Wait for an actual pro Brexit Tory leader e.g. Boris or Raab, win an election and then renegotiate.
Nothing really to see here......0 -

The purpose of referendums are to gauge opinion, they aren't legally binding.
Switzerland recently ignored the result of a referendum in 2016 because the people were told an incorrect figure & it was decided they couldn't have come to an informed decision.
There are so many lies told by the leave campaign that if I'd voted leave then I'd want a second referendum, because I have morals. I don't care how many lies you think the remain campaign told, it's irrelevant as this isn't a playground game.babyblade41 wrote: »They are there to serve the people of this country not their own agenda and should have rallied together and get the best deal possible.
We had the best deal possible as full EU members with rebates and vetos, the next best deal possible is Brexit In Name Only. It just gets worse the more flag wavers get involved.0 -
Including your good self of course, I think you mentioned it once. Can you explain yours/their rationale? Because I've never met a Remain to Leave convert. I guess there must be some waverers who keep flipping.
Moving to leave because the EU is harder to deal with that Leave claimed, or because Westminster turns out to be incompetent, are both insane reasons to back leave.
I know a few who went the other way because "I didn't vote for this mess" or "I didn't realise how important the EU is".
I was a remain voter but if we vote again I'd vote leave. In the first place, I was on the fence. I think I voted remain because I was concerned that we'd only have a soft Brexit that would be worse than being a full member (how prescient I am ha).
I wouldn't necessarily change my original vote if I could, but I'd vote leave in a second referendum because I believe in democracy. We voted to leave. If people want another vote on what kind of Brexit we should have, then fine, but the remain question has been decided.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0
